Early morning Diwali celebration by Marathi Sahitya Academy

On the occasion of Diwali, the Madhya Pradesh Marathi Sahitya Academy organised a Diwali phahat- swar deep utsav. The event started in the morning with Shaunik Abhishekhi’s raga bairagi followed by a pahadi thumri- lagi kaljeva katar and ek niranjan which is a spiritual song of Gorakhnath. After this Jitendra Abhishekhi presented his traditional songs ghei chandh makrand and kanta rutey kunala. The people were so engrossed in his performance that they demanded him to continue his performance. Due to the audience’s demand he further performed sant bhar pandhrit and tirth vitthal- kshetra vitthal.
